My name is Anthony Voelcker, and I am a qualified, HCPC registered music therapist providing private music therapy services for clients in and around the Hastings area. Since earning my MA from Roehampton University in 2013, I have gained over 13 years of clinical experience, including 8 years with a dynamic NHS music therapy team. In this role, I have delivered music therapy for children in both mainstream and SEN schools, working with young people of all ages, as well as in a community clinic and with adults in a psychiatric context, combining music therapy with counseling for mental health. Before my NHS work, I established and managed music therapy services in two SEN schools in South London. *NB I have a current full enhanced DBS certificate.
Sessions will typically involve client-led creative music making supported musically by the therapis in a safe and confidential setting at a consistent time and place

This is particularly important as music therapy for children, young people, and adults can serve as an effective alternative when traditional talking therapies are harder to access.
My experience includes providing music therapy services to various client populations, such as: individuals experiencing challenges associated with neurodivergence (like autism and ADHD), those with learning disabilities, people facing physical disabilities, adopted and looked-after children, and individuals navigating trauma, bereavement, and emotional difficulties. Additionally, I help clients dealing with addiction, low self-esteem and confidence issues, anxiety, psychosis, and depression. Through my work, I offer counseling for mental health that integrates the unique benefits of music therapy.
